Putting Logan City Council Right
The right being established through consultation (within Council remit – authority) in recent months and ongoing on my election as Mayor.
Reduce Traffic Congestion
Free bus for residents to and from M1 busway or rail with no cost to Logan ratepayer. New road links and bridges in to cut out short trips on the M1 to reduce by 10,000 trips per day.
Free Long Term Leases with LCC
For grounds, venues, buildings including the Kingston Buter Factory to encourage commitment and ENABLE community groups to borrow and have no more clubs to go broke such as at Underwood Park, Springwood Bowls etc. with Council assisting with oversight and training of executives by Queensland Sports and Rec Department
Free Water (recycled infrastructure in place)
For passive recreation and sporting clubs with support for development and improved LCC year-round regular maintenance of some virgin land and the wet-lands to facilitate the reclamation for First Nations culture and advancement of arts and tourism
Creating the City of Logan “CLASSIC”
ie the City of Logan Social, Sport & Interactive Cultures where LCC shall unite and enable the groups facilitating the acquisition of grants by assisting collaboration and writing best presentations
Rejuvenating Retail Shopping and Light Commercial Precincts
By working with the owners such as in Station Road, Woodridge and Moss Street, Slacks Creek minimising LCC fees and assisting owners to re-zone within the consultations and expectations of the community to get a beneficial healthy harmonious environment
To Promote Scientific and Technology Development
By Logan entrepreneurs and inventors of renewables and have LCC be a solar input agent and have a reactor which burns at 4000 degrees to generate power for 1200 homes per unit and to have batteries and grid providing cheap electricity (v expensive petrol) for residents and the LCC motor vehicle fleet.
